"In 2020 we installed new Neptune water meters and reading system. All is running smoothly with accurate readings and billing. Dave answers all my requests immediately and provides tools I can use to help myself or the public understand what is happening with their water bills. I appreciate all Dave’s help and training. I really don’t know what I would have done without him."

Frequently asked questions

Answers to what municipalities ask most about Evans Supply waterworks training.

What formats does Evans Supply training come in?

Training runs on-site at your facility, virtually, or as a hybrid of the two. The Evans Supply team travels throughout Ontario regularly, so bringing the session to your crew is the usual arrangement. No pulling staff away for days or backfilling shifts around an out-of-town course. Sessions are scheduled around your operations.

Can multiple municipalities attend the same training session?

Yes. Sessions scale from a few staff at one municipality to large groups drawn from several neighbouring municipalities. Sharing a session gives smaller operations access to product-line training that would be hard to schedule alone, and the content is still tailored to the systems the attending crews run.

What does hands-on waterworks training involve?

Working through real scenarios and problem-solving exercises rather than sitting through slides. Sessions use simulations built around the operational problems your team faces, delivered in your own environment where possible. The training maps onto the meters, endpoints, and reading systems your crew already touches.

Does one training session cover multiple product lines?

It can. Sessions range from a single product line to several in one sitting, depending on what your crew needs. That helps when a municipality runs mixed hardware, or when new staff need to come up to speed on the whole metering system at once. Instructors teach from field experience, not spec sheets.

What support comes after a training session?

Support continues after the session ends. Follow-up consultations handle the questions that surface once crews apply the material on live systems. Attendees keep the training materials: guides, videos, and reference documents. Post-training support is part of the program, not an add-on.
