The Scotchlok UR2 connector is a butt-type splice used to connect remote water meter wire to meter reading remotes. Its U-shaped contact creates a double electrical connection on each conductor, and it can accommodate any combination of three copper wires from 19 to 26 AWG. The connector is gel-filled to protect the splice from air and moisture exposure.
