The Hydrant Setter is designed to simplify the installation of fire hydrants, which can weigh up to 1,000 lbs. Its lifting rings fit securely over the 2½" hose nozzles and are locked in place using the hydrant’s nozzle caps, ensuring a stable connection during lifting. A spreader bar keeps the rings properly aligned, allowing crews to safely position and set hydrants with reduced manual handling.
