The E-Coder® R900i™ combines the field-proven technologies of the E-Coder solid state absolute encoder and the R900® RF MIU into one easy-to-install, wireless automated meter reading solution. It also enables data logging with a rolling 96 days of hourly data from the meter.
The E-Coder® solid state absolute encoder generates its remote and visual reading from the same source, without the need for a battery. It also provides leak, tamper, and reverse flow detection. With 8-digit resolution, it detects leaks in 15-minute intervals with leak state indication over the previous 24 hours and 35 days.

The FloSearch transmitter is identical in size and shape to the Tricon E3 transmitter and also is mounted between the meter body and the existing register making it ideal for shared use on a utility water meter. The FloSearch transmitter is based on switch closure technology and provides pulse output rates (frequency) much lower than the Tricon E3 transmitter. This transmitter does not require specific ordering requirement in relation to meter size and type. One common FloSearch transmitter is useable on all Neptune water meter sizes and types.

Using the MRX920 data collector, the meter reader can now collect RF meter readings from the comfort of their utility vehicle. Designed with “hands free” capability, total reading time is significantly reduced since the meter reader can navigate the streets of the municipality at posted speed limits while simultaneously collecting meter readings. Meter reader safety is dramatically improved since most hazards such as slips/falls or aggressive dogs are mitigated. Meter reading success rates are almost always greater than 99%. Because of the improved efficiencies, utilities can consider reading more frequently than the billing cycle in order to proactively identify abnormal usage in the distribution system.
The High Performance (HP) PROTECTUS® III S fire service meter is now NSF/ANSI 61, Annex G and Annex F certified. This is the first such approval for fire service compound meters in the industry. All HP Fire Service Meters are Underwriters Laboratory (UL) Listed and Factory Manual (FM) Approved for fire service use. The PROTECTUS III fire service meter is designed for applications where fire service and domestic water supplies are fed by a single line. The PROTECTUS III S measures extremely wide flow ranges at 98.5%-101.5% accuracy, registering leaks or unauthorized use of water from fire service lines.
With the addition of R900® radio frequency (RF) meter interface units (MIUs), meter readings are transmitted directly to handhelds, vehicle based readers or fixed data collectors strategically placed throughout the metering system. Paired with a ProRead register the R900 can be used to collect a basic water meter reading while eliminating many hazard and productivity issues associated with walk-by meter reading. Paired with the E-Coder®, utilities can also capture vital leak, tamper, and reverse flow detection data simultaneously with the meter reading.
The SmartTrol™ is a remote instrument designed for flow monitoring and batching. It has an 8-digit bright alphanumeric display. The two pulse inputs (A and B) will accept up to 10,000 pulses per second of digital count. The inputs can be monitored separately or can be combined into a single count which can in-turn be used to provide a relay output for valve control or signal indication that a batch is complete. The controller can display volume total, rate of flow or grand total for up to two Neptune water meters equipped with any of the above transmitters. The SmartTrol is designed to be panel mounted and when mounted in the correct enclosure is NEMA 4 rated.
